Just as every human starts out as a baby, every Linux person starts out as a Linux Newbie. Our JaxLUG Linux Newbie resources are intended to help inform you about what Linux is, what is a distro, a package manager, etc, how to choose a distro, and many other decisions that are made for you on most any other operating system. Most people who are new to Linux are overwhelmed with the decisions given all the choices, and too many times are thrust upon the command line; the JaxLUG Newbie resources take a different approach.

These are resources intended for people who are brand new to Linux, have no experience, may or may not have heard of Linux, be aware, or otherwise, are unfamiliar with Linux and want to start from the beginning, conceptually. No, you are not a Zero, just a Newbie, but these resources assume Zero Linux knowledge, or very minimal.
